After a successful run in 2009, the Real to Reel Recording Studio returns in 2011 at a new location – the former Angus & Robertson shop in the Perth Train Station.
Foodchain, the City of Perth’s youth projects arm, gives local bands the gift of free recording time this Christmas while local punters receive a leisurely three evenings of free live music.
Between December 21 and 23, seasoned sound engineer Laurie Sinagra and photographer Casey Ayres will capture the action as bands come in, set up, record as many tracks as possible, and bump out.
Real to Reel enables audiences to access the purely physical experience of watching live music while exposing them to the equally important recording process.
The public are invited to come by and watch their favourite bands, then stop by here to download all the tracks for free.
