The first session in the Real to Reel recording studio kicked off at midday with Craig McElhinney improvising seven amazing, looping instrumental tracks.
He was joined by Tim Loughman (Astral Travel, Golden Staph, amongst others) on bass and drums.
They’re playing in front of one of two works kindly loaned by artist Ben Barretto. You can see his painting machines, sound projects, Michael Jordan and shark faces here: http://benbarretto.com/
See Laurie’s head partially outlined in the doorway?
Fun times with drums and pedals.

The 2pm sun hit us in Cloud City when the six gentlemen from Pond stopped by. Note sound engineer Laurie Sinagra in the shadows wearing an uncharacteristicly troubled expression.
Nick ponders where to deposit some colour while gear is being set up.
Pond jamming
Notice the Jarlsberg cheese picture in the background? Atmosphere is everything.
Side claps all round for the first productive afternoon of chillaxing and tunes!
